  • Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a mom & wife living in sunny, Southern California, USA. I'm most proud of my B.A. from Hope International University with a minor in Biblical Studies. I have a M.A. and a Teaching Credential. I write from my home while raising my two teemage sons, and devote numerous hours working alongside a community as the President and CEO of ChatwithGod.org Ministries. Happily married since 1986!
  • What was your motivation behind this project? Offering a tool of evangelism, encouragement, peace, and steadfastness to all who seek Christ.
  • What do you hope folks will gain from this project? To Maintain daily discipline in Bible & Prayer...for this is the spiritual journey that lasts for eternity!
  • How were you personally impacted by working on this project? To realize that talking to God (praying) and reading the Bible is crucial for all people.
  • Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My influences are my brothers & sisters in Christ who are mentioned in the Bible such as Paul, the apostles, King David, Daniel in the Lions Den, Moses, Abraham, Noah...you name it they have been through any adversity that offers me encouragement. Jesus...He is my Savior...in Him will I trust and fellowship all the days of my life. Outside the Bible, I believe that Blackaby's "Knowing and Doing the Will of God" workbook has been the most influential. As Artists, I had the pleasure to roam Museums through out Spain, France, and England. I enjoy VanGough's blue period, Degas, Picasso, Renoir...as in paintings and sculptures. But in Barcelona,Spain, my eyes were opened to a new mosaic art with Gaudi. I love the historical buildings & interior design of England. I just fell in love with Oxford-To spend a semester as a student livng in the dorms would be so out of this world. However, my absolute favorite place to photograph was the south of France which is now on the cover of my book-Nice. My husband is a dear...and he leads me to a life that I have never known-world travel. We are simple people...love roaming through recylcled stuff and finding treasures! Our home is called Old World...a little bit of this and that. It has endless visitors from all stages and cultures of life literally 24 x 7. Our favorite is to host missionary friends who need a retreat. I love to hear their testimonies. www.RockHarbor.org is my home church for the past 10 years. I admire my pastors to the congregational volunteers...they keep me young and open minded about the kingdom of God. Being with the young keeps me out of the mud of daily ruts. I'm always reading and learning. Crystal Lewis is my favorite Christian music artist. I listen to her...and life's woes fly away!
  • Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I hope that the "Chat with God.org Project" will be translated into every language in the world...just as the Purpose Driven Life which has been translated into 58 languages. Readers & Listeners may not know that I was raised in Los Angeles, California...I attended an inner city in Wilmington called Head Start. I read from Books on Wheels & played with Toy Loan check out items. I also received a my higher education with a Cal-Grant, a Federal Pell Grant, and over 6 scholarships. I am exceedingly grateful for the privilege I was given...God has lifted me out of poverty. Since 1999, I have been offering my life as a sacrifice to mankind. My husband & children support me along with the global community. I am rich with joy. When others suffer, I suffer too. I have to step away and consult Christ with hardships that I see around me. I am being vulnerable about my life because I sense I'm to be an instrument in view. I want to show the world that when I am weak, He is strong.
